Johan and my mother last Christmas, it has now been almost a year since I visited my parents…

It’s Thanksgiving in USA and I want to be a little extra grateful over here in Sweden too:

Thanks to Johan and my mother for being my best friends. I am so happy my mother calls Johan her son, that he gets so much love from her, more than I could’ve ever imagined. They sparkle together. I am so grateful to have met this wonderful man. He shows so much affection for everyone around him and he gives his own mother phonecalls to tell her he loves her.

Both Johan and my mother really appreciate what they have got in their lives instead of mourning over what could be missing. That is truly inspiring.

There are of course so many other people around me that I am grateful for, but today this post is for mum and Johan.

    since you talk … I had already found this fantastic photo from last year, light, framing and expression of these two people that you cherish.
    How strange, I should confess to you … especially since it’s also a bit silly, but you and Johann made one of those people I’m fragments of lives and I think we could be friends .. atmosphere, winks, how to see things …

    Thank you for the beautiful post! I must say that it is so easy to forget about what you have (and be thankful for those things) as opposed to worrying about what you don’t. I was definitely not thankful when it was Canadian Thanksgiving for me in Toronto. Might as well be thankful on the American one.
