Good morning!
Look at the floor in the studio’s kitchen – it’s white! Still tacky pattern, but white :) One more layer of paint and it will be finished. Two more rooms to go. See the before pictures here.
This is from where I would have wanted to buy new floor if I could, just look at all these fantastic ones.
Happy Weekend!

The floor looks good :))
Why I never thought to put a fur over a chair – such a nice idea !
Wow!!! The floor looks great. Have a nice weekend :)
busy bee …
:) have a nice weekend …
basti&RIKE
that floor looks great! so natural! good job. xx
KRAM
the floor looks much better like this.
i have old tiles in my home, like in the link you have posted. they are beautiful but i dream of wooden floors like in your home…much warmer and lighter :)
have a nice weekend!
Camilla: du har helt rätt! bättre kan det inte bli just nu :) tycker mönstret plattorna bildar är lite tyskt åttitalstacky mönster på något sätt nu när det blev vitt. men det gör inget :)
Amazing what a coat of paint can do. The floor looks so much better. Well done!
Oh yes ! Good work. It looks perfect now. lovely week end to you !
BEAUTIFUL floor! :)
That looks so much smoother !
Beautiful
ni var jätteduktiga, det sär fint ut, sandra!
jag gillar madrid-plattor :)
Looks really good! The floors in your link are gorgeous. Here in Barcelona many apartments have mosaic floors, I hope I’ll live in one of them the next time I move. For floors I love this German brand too: http://akkadesign.canalblog.com/archives/2009/07/19/14454230.html
Hi Sandra,
I love your work and your pictures. I have been following your blog for a while now…
I received a Kreativ Blogger Award and I would like to pass it on to you. You might have received one in the past, feel free to do with it what you like.
( I hope you like my blog)
monique
well it really does look so much better!
:-)
Wow, what a difference!
Grüße aus Berlin :)
looks so much better, even for us, the readers :). don’t they also have stickers for tiles? maybe even for floor tiling.
ser väldigt fräscht ut.
That looks great ! I’m so glad it worked out perfectly !
Good Morning to you too!
I think it looks great, inspiring!
That looks so much nicer than before. I thought that ripping up the tile would’ve been a better idea, but that looks good.
Wow, so much better than before! You’ve done a great job!
looking great! : )
HUGE improvement!! I’m so glad it worked out. Even if it chips a bit, it’s still worth it.
It was definitely worth taking the risk! White floors are so much more soothing to the eyes.
Du havde ret – looking great!
Looks great, I would never think to paint a floor like that, great idea!
Jamen titta så vitt det blev!
The floor looks fantastic! Such a difference.
Now I’m thinking perhaps we should paint the tiles in our bathroom and kitchen – they are simply awful and I’ve been thinking about it for years!
The floors look amazing!!! We have the same fur slung over a chair and imagine, no IKEA in New Mexico. :-) Wish I could express how happy a Saturday night it is here in my part of the world. Cheers!
Impeccably white! Good job!
Do you guys take off your shoes when you get inside the house? I noticed the kitchen floor is one step higher in your “before” shot, no?
it looks great! it really makes the room a lot “calmer”
fötterna ba: woHO!
supersnyggt!
beautifully done! waw!
vad snyggt det blev! ljust och fint!
I’m really enjoying this transformation. We’re house-hunting and have seen some pretty scary kitchens and baths, so I get excited seeing how you’re changing the “undesirables.”
fint du får det i ateljen…puss
hello sandra! i just saw your comment on my blog. thank you. im so glad you liked your artist exchange piece from me : )
i like your newly painted white floor too. evie
What a difference!
it turned out very well :)
What coulor do you’ve used?
Grüße aus Bayern
great job! didn’t know what to expect, it looks lovely!
ai: i removed some tiles to see what was under them, but didn’t find anything of interest. it was good i removed them, because now i can close the inner door, which didn’t work with the too high floor. in sweden we take off our shoes when we step into someone’s apartment. in my studio i wear shoes because the floor is so cold, but now with the white floor i will have to find another solution; like find carpets for the places where i walk the most or simply take off my shoes and wear socks :)
I see! You could wear slippers, too, like I do!

ai: i’d better pay muji a visit soon :) thanks for the tip!
looking good!! Maybe you could ask Johan to take a brush or even a Sharpie and draw something on it…and you should do it too!! Maybe with all your closest friends, isn’t it a way to personalize your floor?
Happy week!
Alessandra: that’s a great idea! though when it comes to the floor i need it to be as calm as possible, but maybe a wall instead :) thanks for the idea!
ja, det var allt finare vitt!
Good morning!
I can’t wait to see how this holds up underfoot. I have a room I’d love to do this in, but it’s sort of a high traffic area so I’m apprehensive about it. It looks great!
Love your workspace. Best of all, I love that it looks nothing like mine. Thanks for the dip into another world.
